Very easy to use straight from the box, although i would suggest giving it a wash as anything you do not know how long this has been sitting in a warehouse and would never be 100% clean.All you need is a little oil or butter to line the metal cups before you place your eggs inside them, i suggest you break an egg into a small dish first then pour this into your each poacher , also do not overfill the pan and they do suggest you do not allow the bottom of the egg cups to touch the water line when you place them in the pan rack.Another tip is when you have cooked your eggs to your desired cooking style remove them off the heat to serve immediately or reduce your cooking time and keep on the heat of the water but turn off the cooker and take off the hot surface , especially if you like a runny yolk, keeping them on the heat of the water too long will cook them more hard boiled, its all trial and error with these but your get used to it, id say 4 minutes for soft and 6 minutes for hard boiled but this can also vary on the heat level you use on your cooker hob.
